HACK4DK warm up session at the National Gallery of Denmark
September 9th, 18h00 to 22h00
Certified techies, journalists, designers, UI’ers or cultural entusiasts. Join us for an exciting ignite season on September 9th at the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK).
The aim of the night is to come up with heaps of new ideas for how to bring our digital heritage in to play, digitally. Ideas that could be developed further at the HACK4DK hack-a-thon on October 2nd to 4th at DR-byen.
The event is free and open to everyone. What is most important are your ideas, eagerness and desire to explore the digital datasets of Denmarks’ biggest cultural institutions.
If you get a really good idea, it could even be developed further at HACK4DK with a chance to win DBC’s 80.000 dkr. prize. Read more here: http://www.dbc.dk/news/vind-80-000-for-bedste-kultur-app
There will be talks by Bitbureau-founder, Henrik Chulu, the digital editor at SMK, Jonas Heide Smith and former Hack4DK winner, Rasmus Halling Lorentzen. Not to speak of delicious refreshments and snacks.

Has the DBC competition been merged into the hackathon instead of being held over a longer period of time as stated on the DBC website?
Has the DBC contest been merged into the hackathon? Previously it was stated of the DBC website that the competition would span several months, has this changed? Or are there two contests now?
Hack4dk and the DBC contest are two seperate things. However the DBC contest is an unique opputunity for the participants at Hack4dk to take their projects futher.
